Wordless Wednesday~~Farmer with team

This series of images, along with other images representing decades of this family's ancestry, was located in an old dried out box during an estate auction. No one attending the auction wanted the box so, it was destined to be thrown away.

I adopted the box.

Here is a farmer and his team of horses:














I hope you enjoyed them as much as I do.

Thank you for such kind words. I can not safe every unwanted image that I come across but, I do my best when it comes to complet photo albums.

Along with the numerous pre-1950 era images were complete genealogy for this one family. Original material consisted of military, education and personal documents.

I use various images that I find to promote the need to protect, preserve and, if possible, promote family histories.

Jack, I am currently trying to locate the cemetery where my great grandfather is buried. The only thing I was told is that he was buried in the Jack Pittman cemetery. Any information as to where that may be located will be greatly appreciated. My e-mail is AnntWll@aol.com. Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to offer.

Thank you for your post. I have not heard of the Jack Pittman cemetery.

You did not mention which possible area as to where this cemetery could be located. I will contact some of my sources to see if they may know.
